The body of a Haryanvi society vocalist Mamata who disappeared on Monday was found in Rohtak locale with her throat opening, police said on Friday.
DSP (Rohtak) Rohtash Singh said a dissension was enlisted by the 40-year-old vocalist's family on January 16, asserting that she disappeared the earlier day.
He said the family disclosed to them that Mamta had left home with her partner to go to an occasion in Gohana.
"The partner, Mohit, said when they were headed, they went over an auto at Lahli town. Mamta joined its tenants, saying she was running with her companion to Kalanaur and will go along with them in Gohana soon. Be that as it may, as indicated by her family, she disappeared from that point," he said.
Mamta's body was found with her throat opening in a few brambles Baniyani town yesterday, the DSP said.
"Her body bore damage marks which appeared to have been incurred by a sharp edged weapon. The body was sent to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak, for after death," he said.
The DSP said she was wearing some adornments which was discovered in place on the body.

Prior in October 2017, vocalist Harshita Dahiya was shot dead in Panipat area.
